What are the processing fees for my nonprofit on Mightycause?

In order to utilize Mightycause, Mightycause offers two subscription plans for organizations: the Essentials Plan and the Advanced Plan. The Essentials plan ($59 a month) provides organizations with all of the essential and necessary tools for fundraising. The Advanced Plan ($99 a month) provides organizations the ability to access more comprehensive tools and features on the platform. You can learn more about the plans here.

In addition to the subscription plan, Mightycause offers all organizations a Pricing Guaranteed Model.

There is a transaction fee associated with each donation processed on the platform.

Organizations have two donation processing fee options available to them.

Let Donors Cover Fee (Pricing Guaranteed Option):

Donors will be asked to cover an optional 6.9% plus $0.30 per transaction fee to include all platform and credit card fees. However, your organization will never pay more than 2.2% + $0.29 for processing the funds you raise.

Here's How It Works:

• Donors will be asked whether they would like to cover a transaction fee of 6.9% + $0.30 per donation.
• If a donor chooses not to cover the transaction fee, your organization will never pay more than 2.2% + $0.29 per transaction in aggregate within a disbursement cycle.
• So, if all of your donors choose to cover this fee, your organization will pay nothing.
• If none or some of your donors choose to cover this fee, you will be credited prior to your disbursement such that none of your aggregate transactions have a fee over 2.2% + $0.29 per transaction.
• Here's an example if you have a mix of uncovered and covered donations:

Example: If you received 10 donations for $10 each during the disbursement period and donors covered the fees for only 4 donations, your total uncovered fees would be $5.94 (6.9% + $0.30 per transaction for 6 transactions). With the price guarantee your fees will be capped at $5.10 (2.2% + 0.29 per transaction for 10 transactions) resulting in a $0.84 credit, that you will receive in that disbursement period.

Pay Fee with Donations:

If you would not like donors to be able to cover transaction fees, you'll want to opt out of our Guaranteed Pricing option and choose "Pay Fee with Donations."

No checkbox option will be shown and the 6.9% plus $0.30 fee will be subtracted from the donor's contribution after they complete their transaction.
