There are many tools on Mightycause that provide your organization the ability to grow your online community and cultivate relationships with your supporters.
Donor Engagement Tools on Your Organization Page
In this support article we will be breaking down some of the key tools and features you can utilize for donor engagement.
To access the tools listed, you'll want to head over to your organization page dashboard:
Donation Widget
This can be found on your dashboard through "Fundraising Tools" > "Widgets."
Our donation widgets provide a great way to accept single or recurring donations year round. Through the donation widget you can embed a Mightycause donation button on any website.
On the right select the type of widget you would like to utilize.
Mini Donation Form: People will be able to complete a donation from the widget, without leaving the page where you’ve embedded it. The widget itself is secure, even if your website or blog is not.
Donate Button: This generates a “Donate” button that links to your Mightycause page.
Thumbnail: This creates a widget that links to your Mightycause page. People cannot donate from this widget, but it will take them to your Mightycause page where they can read your full story and complete a donation.
The most common donation form utilized is the "mini donation form."
Once you have selected your widget type, you can also adjust the color associated to the widget. Select the pencil icon in the upper right hand corder to update the widget color:
When you are ready to embed the widget to your site, scroll to the bottom of the page. To keep track of all of the widgets you are utilizing, label your widget and add the url of where you will be embedding it. Once you have added that information, select "Generate Code."
Simply copy the code that is provided for you and paste it on the backend of your website.
Checkout Flow
This section can be found on the dashboard through "Checkout"
The Checkout section allows your nonprofit the ability to craft the checkout process for donors.
Through this section you will be able to custom donation levels, add donation descriptions, opt into collecting additional donor information, and customize your thank you page and email receipt.
"Checkout" is divided into three sections, Donation Form, Thank-you Page, Donation Receipt.
Checkout Steps
Within the "Donation Form" section, you will have the ability to add custom donation levels and descriptions. This is a great opportunity to focus on recurring giving.
You can opt into collecting additional information such as phone number, company, etc. to help your nonprofit collect demographic information about your donors as well as contact information that will help you follow up more effectively.
Organizations subscribed to the Essentials Plan can add two custom questions to their donation form. Organizations subscribed to the Accelerate Plan can add up to ten custom questions.
To add a custom question, select "Add a section."
Post-Checkout Experience
When a donation is completed, donors will be sent to a Thank-you Page that can contain a customize message from your nonprofit. You can build your custom message in a simple text editor that allows you to add links, videos, images and more.
(Please note that all video must be uploaded to YouTube or Vimeo.)
You can also make use of a CTA button that allows you to link to any page you choose, whether it’s your Mightycause page, your website’s homepage, your blog, your Facebook page, etc.
As well, one of the benefits of using the Mightycause platform is that we handle distributing tax receipts to your donors, allowing you to focus on what’s most important. Once within Donation Receipt, you can insert a customized message into the receipt through the Customize Message area. Simply add your message and save!

Donor Retention Report
Organizations have the ability to retain and grow their donor base through the "Retention" report section.
On the left-hand side dashboard, select "Reports." A sub-menu will open up, select "Retention"
This section allows you to export your list of unretained donors, send individual emails, and much more.
At the top of your Retention report, you are able to filter and create the type of retention report you want.
Through Status, you can pull up whether you want to review your Retained or Not Retained donors.
If you would like review more detailed information on these donations, click the download icon to export this information into an excel sheet.
Lastly, to send an email to a donor select the mail icon on the right hand side of the corresponding donor.
Fundraiser Templates
The fundraiser templates tool provides organizations the easy ability to set fundraising templates for supporters. With templates, peer-to-peer fundraising is easier and seamless.
On the left-hand side dashboard, select "Fundraising Tools." A sub-menu will open up, select "Fundraiser Templates"
You can create a fundraiser template through the "+Create" icon.
Accelerate subscribers can create an unlimited amount of templates on the platform, so you can create a template for your board members, volunteers, and so on. Organizations on the Essentials plan can only create one template.

Social Sharing
Under the "Settings" > "General Settings" section on the dashboard, you can find social sharing options.
The Social Sharing tool allows you to customize and select the image and text that appears in a preview of your organization when your Mightycause url is shared on social media.
