Once your event has ended, you'll want to decide on the future of your event page. End dates and fundraising goals are simply visual displays on your page. Passing your end date or your goal will not end your event.
If you would like to continue accepting donations on your page, you can simply leave the page as is.
However, if you would like for your page to stop accepting donations, you'll want to review the following options.
Disabling your Event Page
You can disable your event page by turning off donations and hiding your event.
To start, head over to the 'Settings' tab on your event page dashboard and then choose 'General Settings.'
To hide your event from any search engine on the platform, turn off "Discoverability."
Select "Turn off Donations" to disable donations on your page.
Once you have disabled these two options, donors will no longer be able to find your page on Mightycause nor will they be able to donate to your event if they were to have a direct link. Please note that donations will also be disabled for any teams or individual fundraising pages participating in your event.
If at any point you wish to enable donations again, simply head back to your "Settings" tab and turn on these features.
You can also utilize the redirect feature within your settings if you would like to redirect somebody with a direct link to your event page. You can redirect people to a new event page, or simply back to your organization page. Search for the name of the event, fundraiser, or organization page you'd like visitors to be redirected to and choose the correct option:
Once this has been set up, visitors to the page will see the below popup and will have the option to stay on the original page, or to go to the new page the redirect is set up for:
