There are two addresses within your organization page: the Display Address and Legal Mailing Address.
Your Display Address is what is shown at the bottom of your public facing page under "Organization Data."
Your Legal Mailing Address is what's used for nonprofit verification, check disbursements, and is not displayed on your public facing page.
Display Address
To change the display address for your nonprofit, go to "Settings" > "Organization Info" on your Dashboard. After making your changes, select save.
You can also update the display address from the ‘Organization Data’ section by clicking the pencil icon next to "Address."
Legal Mailing Address
Your Legal Mailing Address comes from the IRS database. To make changes to your Legal Mailing Address on Mightycause, you will need to submit a request with documentation that verifies the new address.
If you’re an administrator for your nonprofit on Mightycause, you can request to update your Legal Mailing Address by going to "Settings" > "Organization Info" on your Dashboard.
From "Organization Info" scroll down to "Legal Mailing Address."
Under "Enter a new Address," enter the new mailing address.
A verification document is also required. This can be a federal or state document (sales/tax certificate), bank statement or utility bill, that clearly shows your organization’s name, as it is listed with the IRS, as well as the updated address. The documentation cannot be manually-filled in or generated by your organization (no W-9s or donor statements).
After you've uploaded your documentation by clicking "select a file," click save to submit the request. Please allow 1-2 business days for your request to be reviewed.
