The Automated Emails tool allows for organizations to automatically contact donors or fundraisers depending on how they interact with your organization's Mightycause page.
There are three different types of Automated Emails currently available:
- Peer-to-peer Creation Message
- Welcome Message
- Yearly Donation Reminder
Enabling an Automated Email
To get started, head over to your left-hand dashboard on your organization profile page and select "Fundraising Tools" and then "Automated Emails"
Once on your Automated Emails page, you will see the automated email options that can be toggled on and off. When you toggle the message on, you will need to add your Reply-To Email and then choose 'Save & Enable'
Editing An Automated Email
You can edit the content of the message, by clicking 'Edit content' found in the bottom right hand corner of each of the messages. A default automated email template will already be created, but you are always more than welcome to edit the content, or create an entirely new automated email for your supporters!
When on the edit page, you will find three different sections on the left hand side, and a preview of the message on the right hand side. The first section on the left will allow you to update the Reply-To Email as well as update the sender name that will be shown to the email recipient.
The second section will allow you to customize your Email Subject. You can choose from and insert a variety of merge variables by clicking the icon shown below. A merge variable is a dynamic placeholder that stores various pieces of data and allows them to be combined or merged together in a flexible and automated way.
The third section allows you to customize the actual Email Content. The icons shown below will allow you to edit and format your email in a variety of ways. You can additionally use the merge variables within the email content as well.
Once you have made your desired updates, please make sure to click 'Save' at the bottom of the page. You will be able to view your updates on the right side of the page within the Email Preview section.
Reporting
You can access a messages report from the top right hand corner of the Automated Email dashboard:
From this report you will be able to see every email that has been sent through the Automated Emails tools. The report will show you the platform name (this will be relevant if your organization is participating in a giving event using Mightycause), email template type, the subject of the email, the email address it was sent to, and the time it was sent. You can also click the 3 dot menu to the right of the email to resend or preview the email.
Please note that the Accelerate plan currently only includes up to 10,000 automated emails per month. If your organization plans to utilize more automated emails per month, please reach out to support@mightycause for additional information.
