Accessing Filters
You can use powerful filters to refine the contacts shown within your table view and to create custom user segments. To access the filters, click the 'Filter' button as seen below in the top right hand section of the table.
A panel will open up on the left hand side where your dashboard normally is. From here, you can add custom filters to your contacts.
Adding Filters
The filter panel on the left hand side will look like this when you first open it up. As you add filters, they will show underneath the Add filter box, and your contacts table will automatically update with the added filters.
Click into the 'Add filter' box to see a list of filters that can be added to your contacts. Let's say we want to filter our contacts to show only contacts that have donated in the past, but haven't yet donated in 2025. We also only want to see donors that have an average donation of $25 or more. First, we'll add the filter for 'last donation date.' Make sure it shows 'Last Donation Date is before' and then add the date 1/1/2025 into the filter box. It should now look like the screenshot below with the filter both showing in the left filter tab and at the top of the Contacts table.
For our second filter we will choose 'Average Donation >=' and add $25. Like the first filter, it will now show in the left hand filter tab and at the top of the Contacts table.
Removing Filters
You can remove individual filters by clicking the 'x' icon to the right of the filter either in the left hand filter tab or at the top of the Contacts table.
To remove all of the filters you've added, choose the 'Remove all' button at the top of the left hand filter tab.
Save as Segment
Now that you have created a filtered list of your contacts that you want to save and access later, you can save this as a segment. Click the 'Save as a new segment' button at the top of the Contacts table and enter a segment name, optional description, if it will be public or not, and then 'Save.'
