What is Multi-Factor Authentication?
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is an authentication method that requires users to provide at least two pieces of evidence to prove their identity when logging into an online account. Multi Factor Authentication adds an additional layer of security and protection for your online account.
How do I set up Multi-Factor Authentication?
Multi-Factor Authentication can up set up through your Account Settings.
In the top right area of your screen, select the login tool and within the menu select Account Settings.
Within Account Settings, scroll down until you see "Multi-Factor Authentication"
With Multi-Factor Authentication, you can add an additional login step with text, voice, email or an app authenticator. Use the radio buttons to indicate your primary method.
Once you have chosen the type of authenticator you want to use, select "Send me a code"
You will be sent a one-time verification code. The code will be sent via the authentication method chosen. Enter the code and select "Complete setup"
Once you enter the verification code, multi factor will be enabled.
The next time you login to your account, you will receive a notification with your authentication code.
How do I remove Multi-Factor Authentication?
To remove multi-factor authentication, head to your Account Settings:
Within Account Settings, scroll down to Multi-Factor Authentication.
Select the x mark associated to your authentication method.
You will be asked if you would like to delete the authentication method. Select "Delete."
